Sacrifice

We woke up to a very foggy morning. My thoughts immediately turned to my sister, Teri, and the sort of fog that she must be feeling this morning. This morning will mark the first of a years worth of mornings that she will be waking up without Justin at her side. Justin left for his 1 year tour to Afghanistan yesterday. After all the preparation and chaos of him getting ready to go, I am sure today may feel a little foggy. The mood that fog brings is one of somberness. You can't see very far ahead of you. I am sure Teri is experiencing some anxiety as to what lies ahead in this next year. There is a beauty, though, in walking in the fog. We have to trust what we know. Lean on faith. As the sun begins to warm the earth and the fog starts to lift we see more. Teri will see more after this. She will learn things about herself and accomplish things she may not know she is capable of. So will Justin. Just think how much brighter the sun will shine after this sacrifice and all the fog has lifted.

We love you guys!
