I am really bummed I forgot my camera on Saturday. I really think I need to get a little pocket one for our active activities so I don't have to lug my nice one around and worry about something happening to it. Anyway...
We had a busy Saturday and Gerry actually only worked at the house briefly so he could enjoy some time with the family. Side note: It was Lovell Days this week and I took Karlee and Allie to the 'Follies' on Wednesday night. Journee went with grandma and Mark on Thursday. Kyle and Gerry opted out of going which was nice for me because then I didn't have to wrestle with Azurdey and Talon and could just enjoy the show. That was all we did for the weekdays so back to Saturday. Journee and Kyle ran in the Fun Run. They both did well and I was impressed they chose to run it. Here is where I really wish I had pictures of them crossing the finish line. Then we went and ate at the pancake breakfast. Kyle got a huge pancake, bigger than his plate. He was pretty proud of that. We ran to the house and Ger climbed on the roof to do a couple little things before it got way too hot. Then we went to the parade. The one nice thing about the Lovell parade is the candy. The kids have so much fun picking up all the candy that is thrown and you would have thought it was Halloween when they got home and dumped it out on the floor afterwards. I know they have stopped throwing it in some places for safety reasons or whatever but I am glad they continue on with the tradition here. After the parade we went home to rest and get out of the sun for a little while. Then we loaded back up and went out to Horseshoe Bend. We had a picnic and took the kids swimming. The kids love the water and even though it was dang cold they all jumped in and swam around. Again, another picture moment missed, Talon LOVED sitting at the edge of the water, grabbing handfuls of sand and throwing them. He was covered from head to toe. Azurdey ran up and down the shallow water splashing and splashing. We were a little cold from being wet as the wind really picked up, while we waited for the fireworks to start. Talon was almost asleep when they started. He oohed and ahhed at them and then crashed about half way through, he didn't even jump during all the loud ones at the end. Azurdey made sure everyone knew fireworks didn't scare her and that she liked them. Journee had fun running around with Mark here and there throughout the day. She will definitely miss her uncle when he leaves for his mission. Karlee and Allie wore themselves out with the busy day and were asleep in the car before we even got out of the parking lot. We really enjoyed our time together and I am grateful for days like these.

T-ball and Little League

This was Karlee's first year of T-ball. They hit one inning off the tee and 2 innings of coach pitch.
She played for the same team Kyle did last year. I think she had fun even though she always has such a serious look on her face.

These pictures are at her last game. They had an undefeated season. I don't think she was really aware of this as the score is not the focus at these games. Everyone bats every inning, even after 3 outs, the runs just don't count after the 3rd out.
Nice hit, Karlee!
Karlee is a pretty good hitter for her first year. I don't think she still understands a lot about the game but she throws well and is not afraid to swing the bat.

This was Kyle's first year of Little League. He played for the Red Sox.

Their team finished the season at the top with only one loss, then finished 2nd at the tournament. These pictures are of him after the last game, showing off his medal. Once he gets over his nerves of playing with the 'big boys', I think he'll do even better. It will be quite a break not be running to a baseball game or practice every night, but I am glad they had fun and get the opportunity to play.

BFF's

Journee's best friend, Brianna, is moving to Nebraska this weekend, so I thought it would be fun to take some pictures of them.
Don't be surprised if you see Journee wandering around.
I think she may be lost without her for awhile
We hope she gets to come back and visit us lots and lots.

Cub Scout Day Camp
Talon and Azurdey had fun playing at the park Saturday while I helped out with cub scout day camp. Karlee and Allie tagged along, too, I just don't have any pictures of them. They were off playing when I snagged these two. It made for a very busy day, but I was glad I got to help.
Kyle giving archery a shot. Building catapults
Kelly and Kyle When we finish our helmets, we will battle.
Hunter, Kelly, Kyle and Quinton
It was a beautiful, warm day and they all really seemed to enjoy the activities. The theme was Knights of Yore. Some of the activities included poisoning the well, archery, making helmets and jousting, tying knots to escape from the castle, and making catapults.

Journee and Cordell

Journee gets to go to Youth Conference this year. They are doing a special 3 day camp out called Moroni's Quest. She was pretty excited. I think it will be a really great experience for her. They all wear costumes for the whole time. It was a little cloudy and windy when she got ready to head out today, so I hope the weather will cooperate for them.
