Well, we had a pretty busy week last week and I am sure things will not slow down with the last month of school. On Monday we had the Sister Missionaries over for dinner. It was the first time we have ever had Sisters over. It was a nice evening. Tuesday, Journee and I got to go to her book discussion group. We read "Soldier's Heart" by Gary Paulsen. It deals with a boy who goes to fight in the Civil War. It was a quick read and brings to front the realities of war. May be a little graphic for 12 year olds, but interesting and valid none the less. Wednesday was Natasha's birthday and I took Talon and Azurdey into visit the class for her "Double Special Day". So she got to do the same activities as Allie but also got to add in her birthday celebration. Kyle and I also enjoyed playing games at scouts. I am his den leader. Later that evening, those of us that could go, went and had cake and presents with Natasha. She seemed to have had a fun day. Journee had mutual and Kyle had practice that night as well. Kyle is enjoying Little League Baseball and has had practices most week nights. He is excited for his first game this coming Thursday. He also got to be one of the 3 kids to represent his class in the school spelling bee on Thursday.

Karlee Swimming and Trusses
I meant to get these pictures up last Thursday when I went and watched Karlee's class on their last day of swimming for P.E. She loves to swim and is not at all scared of the water. It was fun to go watch her.
We have had a busy weekend with the Bresslers visiting from Laramie. We loved having them here and even had a little dinner get-together with some of the people that were in Laramie together but live up here now.
The trusses are almost done and getting ready for sheeting. Here is what the house looked like on Friday.

Allie's Special Day
Allie got to have her special day at school today.

She got all dressed up for it.

They get to tell all about themselves and share some special things with the class.
We are glad to have Allie in our family. We think she is special, too!
We also want to wish Trey a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today. Their family is visiting Jake's parents in Idaho this week.

Michael
We took the youngest kids who aren't in school yet and left the rest with Gerry. Jake was in New York. Gerry's mom and her husband Warren along with Gerry's nephew made a trip to Alpine, Utah from Logan to lend a hand and watch the kids so that we wouldn't have to worry about them at the funeral. We so appreciated this, as it made it possible for Vicki and I both to go. We are very thankful for their help and generosity. This is my Grandma Putnam with Michael at his sister Randi's wedding last October.
Kyle and Journee both finished up their basketball leagues this week. We stayed very busy trying to make it to both of their games and usually had to split up and have one parent at each. Here they each are in a game and Kyle is with his friend Kelly and Journee is with her team.
