Michael

I am going to post a medley of things that have been going on lately. We have been quite busy. It seems to get that way with spring and the end of the school year fast approaching.

We received some sad news on April 5th, that my cousin Michael passed away. I was very fortunate to be able to be able to go to his funeral in Utah with my mom and sister, Vicki. We took the youngest kids who aren't in school yet and left the rest with Gerry. Jake was in New York. Gerry's mom and her husband Warren along with Gerry's nephew made a trip to Alpine, Utah from Logan to lend a hand and watch the kids so that we wouldn't have to worry about them at the funeral. We so appreciated this, as it made it possible for Vicki and I both to go. We are very thankful for their help and generosity.

Michael was a very special young man and we will miss him. John and Keri (my mom's sister) are wonderful people and we adore their family. We hope they will be able to find the comfort they need at this time. We are thankful to have them in our lives and wish we could be with them more often.

This is my Grandma Putnam with Michael at his sister Randi's wedding last October.
A couple weeks ago I found Azurdey and Tamsyn in the dog house with the cats. These two young cats just showed up at our house within a few days of each other. They were both extremely thin and not in very good shape. They let the kids take care of them though, so we hoped for the best. Unfortunately the black striped one didn't make it and passed away a few days after this picture was taken. Tamsyn loved it a lot and we were all sad we couldn't do more.
Here is Talon at 8 months old. Such cute little prune hands and feet. He really enjoys bath time.

Kyle and Journee both finished up their basketball leagues this week. We stayed very busy trying to make it to both of their games and usually had to split up and have one parent at each. Here they each are in a game and Kyle is with his friend Kelly and Journee is with her team.
I think the hardest part was trying to keep Azurdey entertained and off the court. Here is one of the toys that kept her busy.
