The Birds

Okay, this is kind of a strange thing to post, but I was amazed at the birds around the house today and I wanted to share. The 2 little kids and I were sitting in the living room and all of a sudden we could hear all this ruckus going on outside. It was loud. It was crazy how much noise they made. All kinds of caws, squawks, and chirping. There were swarms of birds, seriously, like bugs, out in the trees, the fields, and the sky. I've never seen so many at one time before. You could hear the air woosh as they flew above and around you, like a small helicopter.

It is kind of hard to see them flying along the field, but all those black specks are birds.

As they would swoop around it would create these neat designs in the sky. These three pictures were taken only seconds apart.

Azurdey and Talon ran all around, having fun watching the birds. Talon tried to copy the sounds they were making. They also enjoyed getting to play outside in the beautiful weather.

Hitchcock comes to life! That's so funny. I remember the first fall I lived in Lovell; I was amazed at all the birds! I loved watching the designs they made in the air. It seems like there hasn't been that many in the past few years, but I guess I haven't been around to see. Thanks for sharing that. (not good for anyone who has a bird phobia.;)

It is fascinating to watch the birds as they congregate into such huge flocks. I am amazed at the different shapes they make in the sky. I love the pictures you took.

Those big blonde curls on Azurdey remind me so much of our younger Laramie days when Jada & Journee were just tiny... I can't remember which one or if they both had the same curls... I just remember thinking how adorable they always were & being amazed at how much & how curly their hair was... especially since I only had boys back then!! Cool pictures!! We had a birdy thing happen like that a couple years back in our neighborhood & I remember being in Awe!!!
