We had a small celebration for Gerry's birthday this year. He didn't get much except for a couple of cakes (his favorite kind, angel food with white mountain frosting) and lots of hugs. The kids all went out of their way to do some kind of extra service for someone as a gift for him and Journee volunteered to watch the kids so we could go out to dinner and a movie. Unfortunately the movie theatre had some electrical issues, as in they had none, so we had to skip the movie and come home early.
He is such an amazing dad and husband. We always wish we could do more for him, as he always does so much for all of us.
